Dr Akindokun Segun Samson

Dr Akindokun Segun Samson is a seasoned Consultant Radiologist and the present Chief Medical Director of Everight Diagnostic and Laboratory Services Ltd. With years of expertise in diagnostic imaging, he has distinguished himself as a capacity leader whose dedication and integrity have earned him leadership positions in health facilities across the country.

He is renowned for his skill in interpreting complex radiological images and guiding accurate diagnoses that have improved patient outcomes. His expertise spans computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound and interventional radiology, where he has played a pivotal role in enhancing diagnostic accuracy and patient management.

Dr Akindokun holds an MBBS from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH). He is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons (FWACS) and a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS). He holds certificates of Professional Development from the University of Washington, United States, where he completed a course on Leadership in Health Management and Epidemiology for Global Health, and a Master's in Public Health from the University of Central Lancashire, United Kingdom, with a PhD in view.

In his role as Chief Medical Director he is focused on elevating the centre's standards in diagnostic services, improving operational efficiency and expanding its scope of services. His vision is to transform Everight into a benchmark for diagnostic excellence across Nigeria and beyond, ensuring the facility continues to leverage state-of-the-art technology, deliver timely results and maintain its reputation for accurate diagnoses. He has also contributed to medical education, mentoring young radiologists.
