How quality is held
The Abuja medical laboratory unit obtained ISO 15189:2012 in 2022 and ISO 15189:2022 in 2025 — the international standard covering the competence of personnel, validation of methods, calibration and maintenance of equipment, and the systems that make a result reproducible.
The company implements and sustains a quality management system and a quality culture in its operations — not as a certification exercise, but as the way the laboratory runs day to day.
Everight's laboratory system operates to optimally minimise the risks related to biohazards generated both externally and internally, including Level-3 containment at Owerri and Abuja.
Quality officers audit laboratory processes, identify systemic gaps and implement corrective actions that enhance efficiency, accuracy and patient safety — with certifications in QMS Implementation and Laboratory Internal Auditing.
The microbiology department participates in antimicrobial resistance monitoring, so resistance patterns are tracked over time rather than only reported case by case.
Diagnostic accuracy is maintained through method validation, equipment maintenance and adherence to good laboratory practices, alongside staff training and competency assessment.
