ISO 15189:2022 Accredited · Level 3 Biosafety Laboratory
Everight Healthcare Foundation · Health
The Foundation's cancer awareness programmes include free testing for early detection, technical support to hospitals and patients through effective referral systems, awareness drives, and training of healthcare providers in community health centres.
Overview
Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers when screening reaches people early enough. Reaching them is the hard part.
In its fight against cervical cancer, the Foundation has carried out HPV screening for over 8,000 women from July 2020 to date.
Screening is backed by Everight's own molecular capability — HPV-PCR and HPV genotyping run in a Level-3 biosafety laboratory — so an outreach result carries the same quality system as a paying patient's.
Objective
To detect cancer early in populations that would not otherwise be screened, and to build local capacity to keep doing it.
