    Returning to Nigeria?

    Travellers must register on the Nigeria International Travel Portal (NITP) for a repeat PCR test to be carried out after arrival in Nigeria. Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated in-bound travellers will be required to do a COVID-19 PCR test on days 2 and 7 after arrival into Nigeria and fully vaccinated in-bound travellers will not be required to do a COVID-19 PCR test on day 2 of arrival in Nigeria. Login to the Nigeria International Travel Portal (NITP) to book your post-arrival COVID-19 test. Select Everight Diagnostics as your preferred test centre.

    COVID-19 TESTING FAQs.

    Is your laboratory accredited for COVID-19 PCR test?
    Yes, we are one of the first private labs accredited by NCDC to run the COVID-19 test using the PCR method.
    Why are airlines specifying PCR tests? Are other methods of testing not acceptable?
    The globally accepted method of COVID-19 testing for travellers is the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method. There are other methods for COVID-19. However, the PCR method is the most accurate in detection. It can detect the virus within 48 hours of contact.
    When is the right time to do the test (Sample Collection)?
    The right time varies with different airlines. As soon as you confirm your departure time, then we can book you for your sample collection.
    How long after the test before I get my result (Turn Around Time)?
    24 hours.
    Is it a blood sample?
    No, it is a swab test from the nose and mouth (cheek lining).
    When will the certificate expire (Validity)?
    Validity depends on the airline. Kindly confirm from your preferred airline or your travel agency.
    Is it a painful procedure?
    No, minimally discomforting.
    Do I need to fast before the test?
    No, sample collection does not require fasting.
    Where can my sample be collected?
    You can visit our Owerri and Abuja locations to get your samples taken or visit any of our southeast or south-south sample collection centres.
    Can I choose the location for the sample collection?
    Yes. On special arrangement, we can take your sample at your location of choice. However, the Everight COVID-19 test centre is very safe and convenient for sample collection. We observe stringent safety protocols at our test centre.
    Can the result be sent electronically?
    Yes, do notify us if you want your result sent via email, text message or WhatsApp.
